On October 30, Dalian Green circular Economy Industrial Park - renewable resources green sorting center project, held a groundbreaking ceremony.

The renewable resources Green sorting Center project is the first project of Dalian Green circular Economy Industrial Park, with a planned investment of 204 million yuan. After completion, it can undertake the whole-area production of domestic waste treatment and recycling of renewable resources in Dalian. At present, the project has been included in the provincial key projects.

The park plans to cover an area of about 7sq.km, with a total investment of about $2.8 billion, the implementation of phased construction, with the goal of "garbage in, resources out", focusing on non-ferrous metals, plastics, automobiles, batteries and other subdivided fields, based on the creation of renewable resources "collection, storage, transportation, transfer, management, supervision" the whole process industrial chain, "one-stop" to solve the needs of urban waste treatment. We are committed to becoming the benchmark of circular economy industrial park based on Dalian and radiating northeast China.

The industrial park includes 7 projects including construction decoration waste recycling project, waste household appliances and electronic equipment product recycling project, waste plastic recycling project, waste wind turbine blade recycling project, waste photovoltaic panel comprehensive utilization project, solid waste RDF preparation project, and harmless treatment of kitchen waste.

Zhou Zhenlei, Secretary of the District Party Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress, pointed out in his speech:

Based on the concept of "digital intelligence empowerment and green construction", the project focuses on innovation in four major areas of urban waste life-cycle management, "circular +" advanced manufacturing, circular economy smart services and green development system reform, and opens up the endogenous cycle of "resources - products - waste - renewable resources". It is an important exploration to help Dalian build a "waste free city", the first carbon peak pilot city in the country, the national green development demonstration zone, and the national green sustainable development pioneer city.

After completion, it will effectively promote the development of the closed-loop industrial chain of "resource recycling, solid waste treatment and energy utilization" in the city, and also realize the complementary and win-win situation of the "five benefits" of politics, economy, society, environment and demonstration.

In the next step, our district will further open the mind, innovate and create, focus on the green circular development of the whole industry and the whole field, build the integrated whole industrial chain of "collection, gathering, transportation, manage and use" from raw materials to recycle, set up project construction and investment promotion classes, and work with enterprises to attract a number of high-quality circular economy industry "The Main Enterprise" and upstream and downstream enterprises to our district. Strive to "lay the foundation in one year, achieve results in three years, and become a highland in five years", and strive to build a circular economy industrial park that radiates the north and is the leading one in the country.
